Well, it's official. This year's Giller Prize has been awarded to Elizabeth Hay for her novel, Late Nights on Air.

If you're downtown and looking for a lunch-hour chill-out tomorrow (Wednesday), head over to Indigo in the Manulife Centre at Bay and Bloor. At 12:15 p.m., Juno Award winner, Grammy recipient, Officer of the Order of Canada, and Canada's Walk Of Fame starholder Diana Krall will be sitting behind a piano and performing songs from her latest release, The Very Best of Diana Krall. If you didn't get your autograph fix during TIFF last week, Krall will stick around after the show to sign copies of her CD.

CTV will be airing an in-depth report on each story on their 11 PM national news, starting December 23. There's bound to be some debate among people who care about this sort of thing as to the order of the stories, as well as about some glaring omissions. But should Stephen Harper lose a federal election in 2007, he can take solace in the fact that in at least one poll, he totally kicked Stephane Dion's ass!

Queen or Leah McLaren? Tonight, McLaren will be sharing the stage at the Gladstone with Katrina Onstad. Canada AM's Seamus O'Regan might want to wear a black and white ref's jersey just in case a fight breaks out between the two of them, seeing how Onstad makes not so veiled insults at McLaren in her new book.
