Now that spring is officially upon us, thousands of bicycles are emerging from winter storage and returning to our pothole-riddled streets. It's a busy time for repair shops around the city, as riders bring their bicycles in for a tune-up. Cyclists in 1900 appear to have faced the same backlog in waiting to get their vehicles back as riders do during current peak tune-up periods. We're not sure how many customers took advantage of E.C. Hill's early-bird special, but we hope that their skill at installing a fresh pair of tires was better than their skill at spelling.

FESTIVAL: Ladyfest kicks off their highly anticipated music series tonight, as the week-long festival continues. Tonight, come out to the Boat for performances from electronic soul group Lal, alternative crooner Emma McKenna, and experimental pop band Miau Miau. Also starting today is "Ooh-La-La," the female-identifying art exhibit at Beaver Hall Gallery (rescheduled from Sunday), which will run until September 27. The Boat (158 Augusta Avenue), 9 p.m., $5–$10.

The Star took all sorts of suggestions for a theft-proof bike. They did not print Torontoist's suggestion, which was "a bike made entirely out of poop." This is because the Toronto Star fears truly innovative thinking.

DANCE: German electrohouse duo Booka Shade returns to Toronto for what will undoubtedly be a sweaty, sweaty dance party at CiRCA tonight. Hey, remember when CiRCA first opened and everyone was being all “Yeah right, I'm never going to CiRCA!"? Looks like the joke is on you, if you're a Booka Shade fan.
