We don't know about where you are, but it seems like spring can't decide whether or not to happen. Some days are warm, some days are cold, and sometimes you aren't sure which. Baseball may have started up (and soccer/football winding down) but it still seems cold out there. Unless it's not. Anyway, onto the -ists.

Almost a year to the day, the TTC is announcing a second fare hike. Most pranksters use whoopee cushions, fake phone calls and deception to play April Fools' Jokes. Howard Moscoe and the TTC just use fare hikes. As of Apr. 1 getting on the Better Way is going to cost you $2.75, which means a round trip goes over the $5 barrier. Torontoist suggests that penny pinchers start hoarding tickets and tokens now.
With all the debate surrounding University of Toronto's "campus paper versus administration" bout last year, it's only a matter of time before concerned student groups/media geeks get a hold of the impending coup at Ryerson's Eyeopener. Already a target of eye magazine for the namesake, the Eyeopener again rocked the boat with their annual April Fool's edition - a SCATHING mockery of the National Post. Perhaps as a result of this, and some other risque issues (oh hi nudity), the paper could get booted off campus. Ryerson Student's Activity Council is looking for "third-party oversight" of the Eyeopener's editorial content, and could put a stranglehold on the publications funding. If this follows through, the college that dresses like a university could lose an integral part of its campus culture. Outcome to be decided by Ry-High students today at 2:30 P.M.
