As the weeks draw closer to the holidays, we're seeing less and less shows listed -- which really sucks, because one can only take so much Christmas music...and we've already heard enough of it to drive us insane. Yeah, yeah, bah humbug. That said, it's quite possible we'll be checking out Twisted Sister's 'A Twisted Christmas' tomorrow. The vision of Dee Snider in full makeup and crazy hair, possibly wearing a Santa suit and......

After 10 years, The Deadly Snakes packed it in on Friday evening at The Horseshoe, for what was touted as their "last show ever" (all lies...the real last show was Saturday night at the Silver Dollar). With a sold out audience, all the tambourines in the city, a few shooters or 30, and many guests taking the stage, Andre Ethier and company treated us to almost three solid hours of rock and debauchery. I'd......

You'd have to be a curmudgeon not to like the Bicycles. It's hard to hate a band that opens a show with painted cardboard standups of various band members, sing Archies/Monkees inspired songs about girls from Montreal and visits to Australia, and fill their shows with handclaps, tambourines and harmonies that come straight from a 1970s bubblegum pop record. So we're happy to report that Bicycles have not only released their debut album "The Good......

Due to the large number of show listings, there will be no links this week (hey, it takes a LONG time to link up this stuff, my friends). As always, if there’s something we’ve missed and......

Torontoist doesn't have a lot of time now that summer is over. Not a lot of time to do up an indepth Le Mercredi Mixtape, that is, but don't fear, there is some good new music here. 1. Amestory - "They're Telling You You've Been Alive" Amestory live and breathe in the cool dark beneath the piano's top, in the body of the violin, breathing the sad sunless air. Although, Torontoist is surely glad......
