Wouldn't your friends appreciate it more if you were present for dinner? Toronto was one of several Canadian cities featured in this late 1970s American Express campaign. All of the ads feature models who look too eager to serve cardmembers (check out Vancouver's entry). It's hard to......

Last month, we announced the finalists for the Nathan Phillips Square redesign competition, naming Plant Architect with Shore Tilbe Irwin as our pick. Waitress: "And you don't want to catch it, right?" Patron: "Well, I'm not worried about that. I'm just concerned about...you know...hearing private conversations." Didn't anyone tell him this was Canada? We let gay people get married here. *On a side-note,......

Wintercity is here. And we have the American Express Foundation and the city dept. of fun to thank for it. Mild cynicism aside, we're glad corporations can get onside and help spring for hoohahs like this - Benetton would drool over these Wintercity clip-art models. And toddlers and grandmas alike can drool over the freebie public spectacles that will take over the city until February 10th. If you break out in hives just thinking about......
