Where is it going to be? Who’s going to play? Torontoist comes through... [continue]
Using ‘stock’ to describe a festival/event is lamos like John Stamos. Woofstock was at least a somewhat funny play on words, but calling a little street festival complete with a children’s village and craft centre Bloorstock is as poorly thought out as this post. Stocks used to be cool, but now they’re just boring. Bloor Street’s stock takes place Sunday June 12th from noon to 6pm on Bloor Street between Spadina and Bathurst. The street... [continue]

Aprilage Development Inc, a branch of William Shatner’s Toronto based company C.O.R.E., has designed a software program that shows you two images of what you will look like in 20 years; one as a smoker, the other as a non-smoker. They call the software The Amazing Aging Machine. Aprilage recently visited a middle school in Buffalo to participate in the school’s anti-tobacco program and it seems like they made an impression. Kids generally don’t care... [continue]
Weren’t these guys bankrupt all last year? Now ACE Aviation Holdings, Air Canada’s parent company, are the number three largest maintenance, repair and overhaul operators in the world. They just won a lucrative $1.5 billion deal with the newly merged US Air-American West airline. In addition, Air Canada are investing $95 million into US Air-American West, giving then a 7% ownership of the newly merged company. Air Canada has certainly been productive in the past... [continue]

Yes, The Arcade Fire are playing their last of three sold out shows at the Danforth Music Hall tonight. And it's true concert reviews from the past two nights have been favourable. Tonight will be just as good, if not better. Like the past two nights, tonight’s show is sold out. If you have the money for it, scalped tickets are anywhere from $40 to $120. This Torontoist couldn’t make a flower grow on the sunniest and wettest day of the year, in a jungle. Does that even make sense? While we don’t know anything about gardening, a lot of other people do, like the people running this year’s Canada Blooms, the Toronto Flower & Garden Show. The Canada Blooms event includes about 200 retailers who know all about growing plants and making gardens. The show is expected to attract nearly... [continue]
