  I could be wrong, but the impression I've been given from a few different people at the TTC is that the move to an automated system will happen regardless of whether or not barriers are installed....

  It's also worth noting that TTCu Community Edition had people posting about problems almost 30 minutes before the TTC sent word officially. Brad Ross has stated that the TTC will be moving into providing TTC updates this year as well....

  Of course, that's a concern with any automated system like this. I monitor the feed, and can block any abusive Twitter account from posting to it. It's also the reason there's a disclaimer at the top of the community page...
