It’s early October, but you’d never know it, what with the 20-something-degree temperatures that have been messing with our internal barometers of late. But, on the bright side, this could mean we’re in store for the warmest Nuit Blanche yet—mittens and double-layers of tights be damned!
This Saturday, the annual all-night contemporary art event will take to Toronto’s streets once again, from sunset to sunrise.
Well, Nuit Blanche organizers didn’t take our advice. Instead of spreading out the art, they’ve placed it all pretty much in the same central area again. The good part is that you’ll be able to see lots of art without traveling much. The bad part is that you’ll only be able to see it if the crowd parts in front of you, and if you don’t mind standing next to drunk teenagers while you do it. It’s year eight: you should know what you’re getting into by now.
But a little planning still goes a long way, and this year has plenty of big names and big projects that shouldn’t be missed. We’ve plotted out some of the most exciting installations to check out, along with some tips on how to get there in one piece.
