Gardiner Closed This Weekend for Spring Maintenance

A series of smaller closures will take place next week.

It may be time to bust out the bike if you haven’t already—this weekend, the Gardiner will be closed from Carlaw Avenue to Highway 427 so workers can set up for expressway rehabilitation projects. The closure will begin tonight at 10 p.m. and will last until noon on April 27.

During the closure, crews will be working on a number of jobs, including pothole repairs, litter removal, and bridge inspections. Several overnight closures will also take place starting Monday.

If you have to get around by car this weekend, Lake Shore Boulevard, the Queensway, Richmond Street, Adelaide Street, King Street, and Queen Street may be your best bets. And so the summer of construction begins!
