  • Darwin the monkey—better known as “the Ikea monkey”—will remain in an animal sanctuary thanks to a court decision against Yasmin Nakhuda, his former owner. Nakhuda had been suing the Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary for Darwin’s return.
  • Meanwhile, off in another courtroom, the Crown dropped dropped its case against a woman who allegedly threw juice at Mayor Rob Ford.
  • Why don’t U.S. celebrity weeklies publish that many pictures from the Toronto International Film Festival? Apparently because it’s “littered with unsightly metal barricades and photo walls covered in logos.” [Via Canadian Magazines]
