Signal work is going to be messing up subway service throughout March.
The TTC is going to be working on replacing some of its subway-track signals this weekend, so get ready to ride some shuttle buses.
The Yonge-University-Spadina line, between St. George and Union Stations, will be closed on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3, while the TTC replaces all those aging signals, relays, and wires. Shuttle buses will run south from St. George Station and north from Adelaide Street. You can see more details in the TTC’s press release, here.
The signal work is scheduled to continue throughout the remainder of March, meaning the same section of the subway will also be closed on the following days:
- Sunday, March 10 (Starting at midnight, March 9)
- Sunday, March 17 (Starting at midnight, March 16)
- Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24
