This weekend's service interruption should be the last for a while.
For the fourth straight weekend, the TTC will be closing the University subway line in order to allow workers to replace signals in the tunnels. By now, you probably know the drill: no service between St. George and Union stations, frequent shuttle buses running along the entire route, streetcars and Yonge-line trains unaffected.
The service interruption is scheduled to start Saturday morning and end at 6 a.m. on Monday. The TTC has more details on its website, or you can watch the commission’s explanatory video, embedded above.
The good news is that this is the final planned closure. After it’s over, the University line should be back to its normal operating schedule.
