WHERE: Humber Bay Park
WHEN: This morning.
WHAT: Weird things happen on the waterfront when the weather gets as ridiculously cold as it has been today. When very chilly air moves over a comparatively warm body of water—like, say, Lake Ontario—the water evaporates rapidly and makes fog. The fog can build up into cloudy masses known as “lake devils,” which make for eerie photos, like the ones above. For comparison, check out our lake devil shots from last year.
