Extra, Extra: Snow, Clayton Ruby, and Hoverboards

Every weekday’s end, Extra, Extra collects just about everything you ought to care about or ought not miss.

Snow: mankind's ancient enemy. Photo by {a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jsaneb/5409379383/"}jsaneb{/a}, from the {a href="http://www.flickr.com/groups/torontoist/"}Torontolist Flickr Pool{/a}.

  • We’re probably not going to have snow on the ground tomorrow, but a white Boxing Day is a possibility. Hooray?
  • Earlier today, Clayton Ruby‘s office released a document detailing the arguments he’ll be using against Rob Ford during the mayor’s conflict-of-interest appeal hearing on January 7. The Star‘s editors have chosen an unusually apt photo of Ford to illustrate their article about this.
  • Toronto Standard has spent some time trawling through patents filed by Torontonians this year, and has turned up some interesting ones. The “hoverboard,” unfortunately, is nowhere near as cool as it sounds.
