—Olivia Chow (MP, Trinity-Spadina), on growing speculation that she is considering a bid for mayor in 2014. She is one of a growing list of politicians said to be pondering a campaign against Rob Ford (who right now intends to run for re-election), also including Adam Vaughan (Ward 20, Trinity-Spadina) and Shelley Carroll (Ward 33, Don Valley East).

    I still think she could do more for Toronto, and other large cities, in Ottawa than she could ever achieve as mayor. The mayor has a mostly one-way relationship with the province, and the feds simply ignore cities.
