- The Christie Pits area has been the nexus of no fewer than 12 separate reports of sexual assaults since August, the latest three of which occurred over the long weekend. But anyone who has been paying attention to the media coverage of the crimes knows that we don’t actually know much about what transpires during the attacks, because the police haven’t been forthcoming with details. As the Grid found out, there’s a reason for that.
- Speaking of those assaults, the Post and the Star both have informative maps of exactly where the attacks are alleged to have happened.
- On a significantly happier note, Heritage Toronto gave out its 38th annual Heritage Toronto Awards on Tuesday night. Urban Toronto has a rundown of the winners. Hooray for old buildings that are still in nice shape.
