But is the reception any good?

FIELD NOTES: We know this poster is poking fun at people’s obsessions with their telephone technology (which is fair, seeing that Apple sold two million iPhone 5s on the first day of pre-orders alone) but we should still take the time to appreciate the, ahem, gravity of the situation. In just over 30 years we have exceeded the computing power of a SPACESHIP with our telephones. Alexander Graham Bell and Neil Armstrong are probably high-fiving in heaven right now.

    At college, during the very early 1970′s, I was impressed when my college upgraded their IBM mainframe computer (big air-conditioned room and all) to 40K. That’s K as in thousands. The students had to program their test programs using punched cards. Hated it when some of the cards got ripped reading them in.
