Maestro Rhymes About Rob Ford

Diversions from the weekend: "I told Rob Ford, stick to your vision, but when I saw him eat, bro, stick to nutrition."

When we went to see Public Enemy, who played the Sound Academy on Sunday, it was for some great music and a bit of nostalgia. On this front, the show definitely delivered. Chuck D’s voice is still powerful, and Flavor Flav is still the most energetic hype man around. (As they reminded the crowd: they are 52 and 53, respectively.) We didn’t, however, expect Maestro (formerly Fresh-Wes) to make a guest appearance, and we certainly didn’t expect him to rhyme about our mayor.

Happily, the whole thing was recorded. Maetro starts rapping at 1:56, takes on Stephen Harper at 3:01, and Rob Ford at 3:21.
