Later today, reality and fiction will collide in a weird, ouroboros-like spectacle as Mayor Rob Ford, a gaffe-prone career politician, meets Will Ferrell, who plays a gaffe-prone career politician in The Campaign, a soon-to-be released film that also stars Zach Galifianakis.
Ford is scheduled to meet both Ferrell and Galifianakis at the Hockey Hall of Fame, at 4 p.m. The Toronto Sun‘s sources say the mayor will be “up for anything” during the photo op (anything?) including, possibly, performing some kind of skit with the two famous actors. He is expected to present them with a gift.
We’ll have more on this after it happens.
Following the meeting with Ford, Ferrell and Galifianakis will walk a red carpet at a premiere of The Campaign at the Scotiabank Theatre.
