At about 3:30 p.m., Toronto Police Services got a call about a shooting at the Sicilian Sidewalk Café on College Street in Little Italy. Details are still emerging but officials have confirmed that one person has been killed and another sent to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. Though it’s a Monday afternoon, the popular dessert spot was crowded—soccer fans were gathered both inside and on the cafe’s large patio to watch this afternoon’s Euro Cup match between Italy and Ireland. Two nearby schools, Montrose Junior Public School and Delta Alternative Senior School, are on lockdown while police continue investigating. Eastbound traffic lanes are closed, and 506 Carlton streetcars are diverting around the area in both directions.

Amazing how much damage a few armed assholes can inflict on a city of millions of decent folk.

Yep and the after the fact Harper tough on crime will kick in. Didn’t save the dead guy, but will fulfill the need for revenge.

People are dead and injured can we show respect instead of selfish shit and high-pitched whining for a minute please Toronto.

This is why we shouldn’t let white people in the country.

Yes TR and given Toronto police just cancelled a NXNW rap performance due “safety concerns”, they should now shut down all Euro 2012 viewings. But they won’t because they see Toronto in black and white.

So no comments on the race of the shooter or the victims? I guess they weren’t black. And if that’s the case this means that black people are then only people in Toronto to be involved in gun violence. Oh wait the Globe just posted this article http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/little-italy-shooting-victim-had-lengthy-criminal-record-court-records-show/article4347156/ Seems the victim was know to police, still didn’t say his race but likely not black.

The Star‘s article says the shooter had dirty blond hair and wore a white mask. So he must have been a Solomon Islander.
