- Fort York‘s revitalization efforts got a significant boost today: the W. Garfield Weston Foundation announced it is donating $1 million to their capital campaign. The money will go to the sprucing up of Garrison Common, site of the Battle of York.
- While we’re in the midst of the annual frenzy that is NXNE, some other music news out of B.C. today: the Polaris long list has just been announced. Among the dozen or so Toronto artists on the list: Cold Specks (I Predict a Graceful Expulsion); Drake (Take Care); Feist (Metals); and Fucked Up (David Comes to Life).
