Toronto Strife Makes Us Love Toronto Even More

An internet trend comes to Toronto, and perfectly illustrates city's je ne sais quoi.

Hellooo, Toronto! Good morning! How was your commute? Terrible? That’s okay. We have some animated GIFs for you.

Toronto Strife, a new Tumblr blog, is part of the super latest crop of web memes: a defining moment for someone is coupled with an animated GIF image on infinite loop and given an explanatory caption. Toronto Strife uses this format to tell “the daily minutia of our city in GIFs” (its words).

With its perfect balance of honesty and accuracy—and also because of the fact that it’s kind of super niche—we wouldn’t trade such uniquely Torontonian moments for most things.
