Scene: Prescribed Burn in High Park
WHERE: High Park
WHEN: Tuesday afternoon
WHAT: For a few hours on an unseasonably warm Tuesday, smoke rose from High Park. Nothing to be alarmed at though—it came from a planned, prescribed burn conducted by City officials. They routinely conduct one in the spring to clear the park of dead leaves and debris, and promote new plant growth. The operation ran very smoothly, and while the smelly fog made its way at least as far as Jane and Annette, things returned to normal in the park in fairly short order.
