Spotted: Best Costumes at the Church Street Halloween Block Party
WHERE: Church Street, from Alexander to Gloucester streets
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. October 31 to 2:30 a.m. November 1
WHAT: Expectations for this year’s Halloweek in the Village were running a little lower than usual after the Church and Wellesley Village BIA announced it would scale back the festivities, foregoing the party-boosting DJ stage and light show due to budget restrictions. But costumed revellers, full of Halloween spirit—and maybe some candy and alcohol—saved the day. Photographer J Deschamps went out to catch the glamourous and gory street party; as we have for the past few years, we’ve collected the best of those moments.
