Graffiti Artist Takes Over Spadina Station
LEPOS Arcade clip #3: Subway Station from Diego Bergia.
Lepos, a determined alien and the sole survivor of his race, first popped up in the streets of Toronto a few years ago. He showed up plastered on posters, was spotted outside Honest Ed’s, and eventually made his way to a host of other cities. Just a few days ago, he was caught at Spadina subway station, spray paint in hand.
This clip, part of an arcade game still in development, is the creation of animator Diego Bergia. One of his goals with Lepos is to bring the worlds of street art and video games together—thus an alien who shows up both in an arcade game and in graffiti, and an arcade character who doesn’t just shoot at the enemy but spray paints messages as he goes. No word on long-term plans for the game, but we look forward to seeing where Lepos turns up next.
