CRIME Ricardo Morrison was arrested six weeks ago and charged in the assaults of two Parkdale men—part of a string of assaults this winter targeting mentally ill men living in that neighbourhood. Today police greatly expanded the list of charges against Morrison: he is now charged with second-degree murder in the death of George Wass, whose injuries in a March 18 assault proved fatal. Morrison, age 32, is also charged in connection with several other beatings; he remains in custody and will appear in court on July 6.
