What We Saw on the Torontoist/Eye Weekly D.C. Roadtrip

In case you missed our previous dispatch, this weekend Torontoist teamed up with our good-time buddies at Eye Weekly to ferry about a hundred Torontonians to get a load of Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear on Saturday. It was crazy. Like two-hundred-thousand-people-holding-signs-and-hollering-and-wearing-costumes crazy. Too crazy to describe with any sort of authority.
But a picture says somewhere around a thousand words, right? And we took plenty of pictures! So for those of you who missed the bus, and only caught the rally on television or steaming online, here’s a last chance to get a look at what it looked like at the ground level.

    The Free Marc Emery Campaign at the DC Rally went well – Not only did we have our fabulous posters, but we managed to give away 2,000 bottled waters with FREE MARC Custom stickers on them designed by PixelDreams AND nearly 11,000 Free Marc Post-Cards and Free Marc T-shirts for anyone who wanted to volunteer for our campaign…
    This event was a Rally for all Rallies, I sure do hope they do it every year, and always right before Halloween so we can “get extra mileage out of our costumes” as one Torontoist put it! ; )
