The Very Best Costumes at Halloween on Church

Church Street’s annual Halloween party shut the Village’s main strip down Sunday night, and as usual, those looking for the best costumes in the city—some transgressive, some clever, some just horrifying—really couldn’t have asked for anything better.

    Lest you think that the American Gothic guy is fabulously clever, I was in Washington DC for the Stewart/Colbert rally on Saturday and saw a fellow on the Metro with the exact same one. And I stopped counting the Super Marios after my sixth.

    Saturday totally had better and more costumes, not just at Church. You could have taken pictures of the guy dressed up as Marge Simpson and another one dressed up as Facebook.
