I wish he’d stuck to his original plan for a canal joining the Don to the Humber along Front Street. It makes so much more sense on the map.

What would you rather have, $100,000 spent on the free-lunch gravy train for a tax-and-spend Council, or a StreetStretcher 3000?

Does the gravy train also connect to the Scarborough Town Centre? You see, it’s very important to make things join up, always, especially on a map. And I understand it costs $4 billion for a real StreetStretcher 3000. $100,000 just gets you a scale model (see the similar misunderstanding re. Spinal Tap’s “Stonehenge”), and doesn’t include the after-sale service for removing dead bicyclists from the gutter.

That’s only because of corruption and waste — it’s time to cut the fat. Remember, that $100,000 is being cut every year, and the city will see a substantial discount if it buys in bulk, so there will be wider streets and lower taxes. These are things that you learn after spending several hours a week working at the family business.

My heart goes out to people with family money, but it’s their own fault at the end of the day. I compare it to swimming with sharks. Sooner or later, you get bit, and then you become one yourself.
Zombie “Rich Git” Shark for mayor. And hands off my family money, bicyclists.

Street Stretcher? Rob Ford should spend the money on a Pants Stretcher instead, ’cause he’s fat.
Rob Ford, I’m not scared of you.

He does a huge disservice to good people who happen to be obese. Just saying.

Then we can finally implement Steve Munro’s idea for swan boats.
Personally, I’m looking forward to that bike trail that cuts across the island airport. I’ve always wanted an excuse to make a detour on the way to work by doing a loop of the islands.

He also gives obtuse people a bad name.

Since when does an obtuse person have a good name?
