This Year’s Ex, Looking Even More Manic Than Usual

It only takes forty-nine seconds for eighty minutes of footage and two thousand still photos—all from two weekday nights at the Canadian National Exhibition—to blink by in the timelapse video above. Torontoist’s Miles Storey shot the photos that would make up the video using a Canon 40D and a wide-angle Sigma lens, he says, “set up in out-of-the way spots, automatically clicking off one shot every four seconds while people ran excitedly from one attraction to another, occasionally distracted by amusements and food stalls.” The Ex feels sped-up enough already when it’s at normal speed; when sixteen minutes go by in ten seconds, the experience is as delirious as it is pretty.

That’s a lot of work for such a short video.
Thanks to the two people who made the effort
to put this together to share with us.
It looks like a “revenge of the machines”
    situation when machines go MAD!
