    Meh. Laneways are crappy places to live, with very limited possibilities for outdoor space, they pose real challenges for city services such as water, sewage and fire protection, and their potential for housing is over-rated.
    Besides, it seems a real crock when they are touted as an opportunity for low-income housing when the touted examples of laneway houses are custom, high-end homes.
