CBC Radio is reporting that Toronto's bid to host the 2015 Pan Am games has succeeded over those of Lima (Peru) and Bogotá (Columbia). Ok great now we have the games, can the politicians make sure that every person in social housing gets a ticket instead of them! That would be a winning idea!
The Mayor proves he's a smart guy - puts us on the hook for hundreds of millions (plus the inevitable overruns) then heads back into private life lest he be held accountable.
Is it just me, or did all the talk about new transit just sort of disappear once the victory was announced?

I'm excited for Hamilton, not Toronto. they finally get to replace one of North America's worst sports venues.
and it may help revitalize their downtown (debatable, but better than what's currently there)
