Spontaneous Shadowpuppet Theatre

One of the famous signs outside Honest Ed's beckons, "Come In Here And Get Lost!" but late Sunday night, a roguish raccoon took that literally.

Captured at about 8 p.m. by Kevin Kimber while on his way to meet some friends at the Victory Café, it was unclear at first whether the video actually showed a pesky procyonid or merely a corpulent house cat. Once it squeezed along as far as it could go (at the 0:42 mark), it's was immediately judged a raccoon, and not a, uh, "one-legged cat," as one man in the video announces.

Another cornball storefront slogan proclaims that Honest Ed attracts squirrels because "they think he's nuts!" but we're not surprised that raccoons would also be drawn to the discount emporium, considering how it's full of trash [rimshot].
