    Totally. I’m not sure how well it will work with the new subway trains (which will allow riders to walk between cars to balance out crowding over the length of the train), given that we apparently can’t even handle evenly distributing ourselves between each set of doors…
    Whenever I try to fill the massive, gaping chasms left by others I am rewarded with intense stink-eye.

    lol I JUST had this conversation this morning. What I don’t understand is why people crowd the doors when their stop is not the next one. Then they get all huffy and puffy when people try to exit/enter the car.
    I stand in the middle, usually with a lot of room, while the doors are crowded with people falling all over each other.

    The guy on the right doesn’t look like he’s too pleased at having his picture taken without consent—I know that I wouldn’t be jazzed about it, either. As long as it’s not for commercial purposes, however, it’s apparently legal.

    I don’t think anyone’s particularly jazzed about being photographed here—but I think that that sort of makes the photograph.
