3 Swimmers presumed dead in Ontario's Muskoka region (CBC): "Three Toronto-area residents are missing and presumed drowned in central Ontario's Muskoka region. Ontario Provincial Police said seven people were swimming in a pooled area at Moon River Falls on Sunday afternoon when only four emerged from the water, two of them suffering from minor injuries."

Caribana a success despite strike, recession: Organizers (CP24): "Weeks of Caribana festivities wrapped up Sunday at De Scotiabank Caribana Lime. It featured all types of food, music, song, dance, theatrical drama and story telling. Steelpan drummers made their way all the way from Trinidad and Tobago to participate."
