I have so much sympathy! So much! haha
Pretty obvious what's going on here. Originally, union's vote was supposed to be today, and city's ratification on Friday. They'd go back to work on Monday... but that's a holiday, hello holiday pay and a long weekend!
Now Miller said the city would like the workers back as soon as they ratify the agreement, so it's become necessary to push the vote back to Friday.
The Toronto Community News article on the Finch/Wilmington sinhole brings up a good point: What's up with the GTA infrastructure? In addition to the other incidents mentioned in the article, wasn't it just three years ago that a sinkhole opened up on Jane/Highway 7 and disrupted both traffic and local business?
"The tills are checked." Oh really, Adam? And which tills would those be? I've never seen a cash register in a collector booth. Maybe there's one in the back.
