And They Call It Picket Love

During labour disputes, anger is the emotion you tend to hear about most. Amid stories of picketers delaying citizens who are dropping off their garbage and protests over dump-site locations, romance seems an unlikely sidebar for those on the frontline of the current city workers’ strike.

But behind the picket lines, does love have a chance?

Exhibit A: a recent posting in the "missed connections" section of Craigslist, where it appears a picketer at Sunnyside Park has fallen for the charms of one of the city’s finest. Will the striker ever discover if a kind conversation with a cop coming off of speed-trap duty leads to enduring happiness?
