ART: Today, Mayor David Miller will be amongst the crowd of art (and motor vehicle) enthusiasts welcoming three "art-wrapped" vehicles (a decommissioned TTC bus and two vans from FoodShare and White Knight Kitchens) for Art On The Move. The program—which was covered by Torontoist in May—assigned an artist and a community group to each vehicle, and they worked together to create both the concept and the finished product. Each vehicle can be seen driving through the communities of Toronto that helped create them. Art on the Move is a three-year venture that will eventually turn out fifteen separate pieces, beautifying the city one car at a time. Distillery District Main Courtyard (55 Mill Street), 9:30 a.m. refreshments, 10 a.m. official launch, FREE.

WORDS: Lauren Kirshner launches her first book with This Is Not A Reading Series and the Gladstone Hotel. Best known as a frequent contributor to NOW's book-reviews section, Kirshner has written Where We Have To Go, which is a fictional account of a young girl, Lucy, and her passage to adulthood, with all of the family turmoil and physical upheaval that comes with it. The chat will be moderated by NOW's senior entertainment editor, Susan Cole, and hosted by Marc Glassman of This is Not a Reading Series. Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West), 7:30 p.m., $5 (or free with a book purchase).

FOOD: Having trouble finding the perfect gluten-free cupcake? Organic Oven Bakery and Cafe just might have the flour-free treat you're looking for, and with their new location on Yonge Street you won't have to travel all the way to Brampton to enjoy it. They're having their grand opening today, complete with free samples, discounts, and an array of specialty baked goods otherwise only available on holidays. While it's still a bit of a trek (for you downtown-core elite), Organic Oven promises all sorts of healthy (and delicious) alternatives that will make the trip worthwhile. Organic Oven (3189 Yonge Street), 9 a.m. grand opening ceremony, open 6 a.m.–10 p.m., FREE.

FILM: This week, it's all about Pride at the Bloor Cinema, with a showing of the modern Canadian classic C.R.A.Z.Y. and transsexual punk-rock odyssey Hedwig and the Angry Inch. The showings are a part of Queer View, running until Thursday this week at the Bloor. Bloor Cinema (506 Bloor Street West), C.R.A.Z.Y. at 7 p.m., Hedwig and the Angry Inch at 9:30 p.m., $10 per movie (or $15 for a double bill).
