Strike Watch: Day Five

As the city accumulates garbage throughout the ongoing city workers’ strike, we’ll be accumulating photos. Torontoist’s photographers are checking in on garbage and recycling bins around the city throughout the strike, an attempt to follow the tangible effects of the strike and complement our other coverage.

The sidewalks and gutters of Bloor West, from Bathurst to Davenport, are full of wind-blown garbage.

Windsor is two weeks away from the longest municipal strike in Canadian history and I have yet to see anything that looks like the above image.
Nice to see that Torontonians care so much about their city. And look at all that recyclable material amongst the trash.

Windsor has a population of 3. And nobody goes there. You can’t compare, Vincent.
Besides, this past week has been a huge event with mostly tourists downtown. I realize that there’s little crime in the metropolis of Windsor, and that everyone cares, but you can’t lump Windsor and Toronto in the same category. Maybe Windsor and Fort Erie.
