The place to be at this year's Woofstock festival was the fountain in Berczy Park. Despite the moderate temperatures and a layer of suspicious-looking foam covering the water, the fountain was crowded with dogs fighting for rubber balls, chasing each other, and—in the case of one very determined Great Dane—doing vigorous laps.
Last year's biggest attraction, the Ontario Dock Dogs competition, was absent this year, but there were plenty of other events to enjoy, including talent competitions, an agility contest, and even a competition to find the festival's ugliest dog.

Oh man, you have absolutely outdone yourself, Miles. My favourite is the lady with the heels and the doggy in his little red boots and shades... I am dying. I am dead. Well done.
There is a revolution taking place in Iran. Cover that please.
go to ABC, BBC, CBC, CBS, CNN, NYTIMES etc etc
Wow, ruff crowd.
Anyway, here's our gallery of photos from last year's Woofstock, which features the greatest four photos ever taken by a human being.
At some point - months and months ago - I went to Miles' website, found that very photo, printed it out, and stuck it to my fridge.
I will happily go to Iran if David wants to pay my airfare and become an international news organisation.
(thanks Robin!)
That last comment was supposed to be this.

Thank God they didn't hold this event in the Beaches area. The whole nabe is already plastered with enough dog **** as it is.
Jeez, what's up with the haters? This is a happy photo-journal of a happy event. Seriously.
Great job, Miles. My fave is the one of the three in the baby carriage. It's so LOLable. Completely. Totally. LOLable.
There are some gorgeous photos here, Miles. However, I was just curious as to why you chose to blur some of the dogs' noses in the close-up shots ...
Just for fun! I liked the effect of the dog almost disappearing into blur except for its eyes, like pic 9.
Great shots Miles (as usual)!
I'm only dissapointed that you didn't get the beautiful butterfly Daschund:

I would have liked to see your take on that.
Re: Iran-in a way it is a related story as ultimately the conflict is about who gets to be top dog :)
Maybe all the "ists" could pool their money and send Miles over to be the one man international bureau...I'd love to see the images that would result.
what breed of dog is the first dog with the kerchief in this picture spread?
I believe that is a Pomeranian with a hair cut.
coolio. thx. i thought so. great job.
