A New and Improved Mobile Torontoist

Torontoist has a brand new mobile version, working as of right now on your favourite fancy mobile device! Just slide on over to torontoist.com (or, failing that, mobile.torontoist.com) and enjoy a tinier and tidier version of Torontoist that’s optimized for reading and interacting with on your smaller screen. Direct all your praise for it to our pals at Gothamist, and let us know what you think in the comments of this article.

Nicely done, Gothamist! No more pinch zoom and scanning required. :)

not so pretty on an Blackberry 8700 (4.5 OS). I guess I’ll have to download Opera Mini to see if that helps.
They did test it on something other than a Jesus Phone though right?

Looks a bit nicer on Opera all right :)

Looks great on my Bold. Thanks, Gothamist.

We did test the mobile on a few of the newer blackberries and even an old sidekick. The usability of the site should degrade ok, but commenting will require a more modern browser (cause of JavaScript)
glad to hear the positive experience with it!

I like it. Are the other gothamist sites using this as well?

K nevermind! I see that they are.

Would it have been too much to use http://m.torontoist.com ?
ya know less characters are better for mobile users… :)

Well, that url is in use already for the site unfortunately. Tho hopefully the redirect will work for you and you can type torontoist.com – which is 2 less characters. Or make a bookmark!
