Urban Planner, our curated daily event listings column, is an essential part of Torontoist and, for many of our readers, an essential part of their day. We're looking for one or two more people to help us with compiling and writing it.
The job requires not only a strong writer but also an extremely organized and very tuned-in collator, someone able to separate the wheat from the chaff and give Torontoist's readers the best to-do list in the city. The job is evenly split between several people (you'd write listings for just a day or two a week), it pays (a bit!), and it's also pretty fun. To apply, please e-mail hiring@torontoist.com and tell us a little about yourself—sooner rather than later. No resumes or cover letters, please; just tell us who you are, what you like, and what you could bring to us. If we select you as one of the finalists for the position, we'll likely ask you to prepare a demo Urban Planner for the day of your choosing.
(Oh yeah, and we're always looking for talented people to contribute to Torontoist in other ways, too!)
