The Plywood Man Argument

We showed you photos of the Urban Repair Squad’s latest intervention in a post on Tuesday—wherein we firmly insisted that the future health of the region’s transportation infrastructure hinges on the presence of two twelve-foot-tall plywood figures—but today we have a video for you! The clip is a “bit of a first,” the URS tells us, in that “It was made collectively.”
Sometimes, living in this city can be a heck of a lot of fun.

    I bought 30 or so neon orange Toronto City Works uniforms (with patches and everything) 10 years ago at a surplus store on Bloor in the Annex called ‘Ends’ for around $1 or $2 each. Hilarious pranks ensued around UofT campus. The URS folks should look into this.

    According to the Urban Repair Squad blog, the song is “À bicyclette” by Laurent Voulzy. They posted the lyrics, too.
