FUN: Newmindspace is hosting another edition of their popular urban pillow fights this afternoon in Dundas Square. Participants are asked to arrive at 3 p.m. with a soft pillow in tow; feathers are no longer “green.” The free, all-ages event will take place rain or shine, and will run until the sun sets. For rules and more information, check out the Facebook event. Dundas Square (40 Dundas Street West), 3 p.m., FREE.
DANCE: Local event promoters Yo Jamz! will take over Kensington Market’s Augusta House once more this evening with the return of their popular dance night, “Yo, Remember the ’90s?” Tonight’s installment will feature the DJ stylings of Dale Cooper, Dylan McKay, and Uncle Phil, along with a screening of the 1991 Vanilla Ice film Cool as Ice. Augusta House (152A Augusta Avenue), 10 p.m., $5.
KIDS: This Is Not A Reading Series For Tots returns this morning to the Gladstone Hotel. “Read Me A Game,” will be hosted by author/artist Emily Holton, and will feature three interactive children’s books to help make reading fun: Julie Morstad‘s ABC Card Deck, Tim Beisner and Rachel Berman’s Bradley McCogg The Very Fine Frog, and David Bruin and Hilary Leung’s The Legend of Ninja, Cowboy, Bear. Presented by Pages, in association with Bunch, and the Little Paper. Gladstone Hotel Ballroom (1214 Queen Street West), 9:30 a.m., FREE (…for tots. Adults pay $5).
FOOD: JAMcafé is hosting a Spring Equinox Party this evening. The mere donation of a non-perishable food item will give you access to free mini burgers, wine tasting samples, and $3 bottles of Mill Street. Singer/songwriter Brooke Manning will perform. JAMcafé (195 Carlton Street), 6 p.m.–2 a.m., FREE (with non-perishable food item donation).
