Dr. Manhattan says movies are bad m'kay?
Perhaps the tagger didn't realize it was a book originally. I wouldn't be surprised, since they are the lowest form of life.
Or perhaps the tagger is suggesting people read the book (and books in general) rather than see the movie...
I'd wager Mark's right—I don't love taggers, but, considering that the blue paint is absolutely identical to Dr. Manhattan's body colour (it covers his face, too), and that Watchmen is one of the most well-known books published in the last few decades, and that I have yet to see anything related to Watchmen that doesn't specifically mention the book...
You missed it by a mile, goaty. And unless books did it, it's not even a tag.
Whoa... That's deep. Books are marking their territory on advertisements posted on temporary (although they almost seem permanent) locations. This could be a great series on FOX... When Books go BAD!
"books" is a local tagger.
I wonder what you think of pigeons then. Say what you will about taggers, but they rarely put poop on your head.
The city could easily make tons of money by fining whoever slaps up those in-your-face posters.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that this may also be a response to the Watchmen graffiti and stencils that're already in a few places in NY and Toronto.
This poster is at the edge of the National Club premises on Bay Street. Is someone trying to send the message to members of the National Club, perhaps?
