You Can't Please All of the Riders All of the Time

Our transit planners try. They really try.

System-wide service improvements unveiled by the TTC in November included extended hours and the addition of bicycle racks to many routes. While this was good news to many passengers, as with most things in life there are users who feel their needs were glossed over.

Hence the frustrations poured out onto an innocent service improvement bulletin posted on the Davisville bus platform by at least two disgruntled passengers unhappy with the current state of the 11 Bayview route. Never mind that their pleas and grousing are unleashed on a rush hour service that doesn't pass by the neighbourhood's largest health facility.

Perhaps the first passenger has a phobia about going to Lawrence station to use its frequent Sunnybrook service?

The 506 streetcar along college has been upwards of 40 minutes between cars going east lately. It wouldn't be a problem if it was supposed to be "frequent service". They should just change it to "occasional service" and cover their asses.

ditto for the Queen car late a night. why bother marking the schedules at "Humber" or "Long Branch" if the drivers are just going to arbitrarily change their destination signs to suit their lazy ass needs? there have been quite feww occasions where I'll get off the subway at Queen Stn. and wait at Queen and Yonge only to see two Humber cars go by when clearly the cars are supposed to alternate (or at least logic (and schedule) seem to dictate this. then again at $23/hr and full pension why give a fuck, right?

sorry for the double post. it seems this new interface doesn't let you know it's been posted. if any site mods wanna delete one of the duplicates that would be greatly appreciated.

Do you honestly think the drivers randomly choose which car will turn around when?

I didn't think so.

I find it is better to take the subway an either walk or bus down to College. That is cold comfort for people starting south of Bloor I guess.

The Bayview 11's routing runs through a number of places where traffic bottlenecks: on-street parking through Leaside Village; the on/off-ramp traffic plain around the 401 underpass; congestion at Sheppard Avenue, etc. I can sympathize with people stuck waiting for service inside the Sunnybrook complex though, as they watch buses bypass the health centre.
