Comments Working Again

Comments—which have been rather flaky the past few days—should be back to working again as normal on Torontoist.     Am I the only one having constant log in problems? When I click “sign in” at the bottom of a comment section nothing happens, and as often as not if I sign in at the top of the page I have to reload to see if I’m actually signed in. And it doesn’t “remember me” like the old system; I’m signing in nearly every time I visit instead of once every week or so.

    Same here. I have to sign in every time I visit too. This is sometimes solved by clearing caches and cookies, but didn’t work for me.

    I’ve been having a similar experience. I just tried the sign-in link at the bottom of the comment section, and it threw an error. I’ll try nuking Torontoist’s cookies, but, like Marc, I’ve seen even that trick fail.

    Well, the sign-in link at the bottom looks like it’s working at the moment. Authentication was completely broken for a while this afternoon, so I guess there was some fixing going on. Hard to say if my cookie-nuking helped or not.
    The “Recommend” widget appears to be working more quickly, now, too.
