Ah, there must be some feisty art crritic pontification about self imposed alienation and disconnect with the composition.

I go to Ryerson so I'm right there all the time - that's Dundas St. just West of Yonge-Dundas Square. You can see the electronic Ted Rogers School of Management sign near the top left, and a sliver of the Best Buy logo just behind it. Technically Ryerson's business building, everyone just refers to it as the "BBB".
And re: her getting hit: For some reason the scramble crossing at this intersection has really messed with the crossing signals so that the East-West and North-South crossings will sometimes count all the way down, just to reset to adhere to the all-way scramble crossing. That can't be the best way of doing things...
