Overheard by reader Sonia Cass at Eglinton Station two Fridays ago. Two girls, about 12 or 13 years old, are talking about a mutual friend.
Girl 1: So did you hear that Paul decided that he was homosexual?
Girl 2: What does homosexual even mean, anyways?
Girl 1: I think it means that you're a boy and you like girls.
Girl 2: Oh, okay then. Why would Paul think we'd be surprised about that, then?

So long as they remember: always should be someone you really love.
Sounds like one of those packs of girls that sits in a huge group on the subway while doing their best to sound as vapid as possible. Apparently guys are into that nowadays. (See 'The Hills')
That's the best argument for comprehensive queer-positive SexEd I've ever heard.
Really? An anecdote is the best argument?
*facepalm*
Abstinence only sex-education at its best.
