A Whale of a Beetle

We spotted Shamu‘s tricked-out ride on Merton Street this morning, visiting from SeaWorld in Florida. You’d think that an orca flopping down the street in midtown would be easy to find, but Shamu herself was nowhere to be seen.
Our wild and completely unfounded speculation puts her in Ethan Allen picking up some modern yet classic aquarium furniture, visiting the Girl Guides‘ national headquarters to secure a boatload of cookies and chum, or scoping out a new retirement condo.

    You can usually find the Sea Worldmobile on one of the side streets off Broadway, west of Bayview. I forget which one, but it always made me smile to see when I was over there.

    I saw the exact same car (photo here) two months ago or so parked on Richmond. There was some kind of SeaWorld thing going on at The Richmond. Very weird!
